My mom came to visit me this past weekend which was fantastic! We went to the farmer's market downtown on Saturday where I showed here where I had previously got the most beautiful large head of organic romaine lettuce (for $2.25) and a box of the tastiest Oregon blueberries.
I made blueberry pancakes Sunday morning - but unfortunately my mom is on a special low oxliate diet in which she can't partake in many berries. She missed out :)
Sunday night we ended up cooking some random food that I had. We ended up having a pretty nice little Italian dinner consisting of a caprese salad made with fresh mozarella and heirloom tomatoes (pictured below before drizzling w/balsamic vinegar) from the farmer's market, kalamatta olive bread, and two types of ravioli (chanterelle mushroom and gorgonzola cheese)
