...makings for the best breakfast:
Quick oats
Quinoa
Barley
Spelt oats
Almonds
Currants
Raisins
Ground Flaxseed
Wheat bran
Psyllium husk
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
...cook and enjoy! Add honey to sweeten if necessary
I don't know - I guess it depends how much you want to make! Lately I've been making this in bulk so it lasts me a while. I usually don't measure anything but this is how it goes (amounts very roughly estimated from this past time). Quick oats takes up a majority of the ingredients (3ish c), usually equal parts of whatever other oats/ground flax seed/quinoa I decide to put in (~1 c each), equal parts of raisins, currants and almonds (2/3 c each, depending on how sweet you want it), not a ton of psyllium husk or else it will make your oatmeal/porridge into gelatinous goo (1/4 c if that), heaping amounts of cinnamon (1-2 tbsp) and nutmeg (1 tbsp) to taste. ...I think that's it. :)
