My beefsteak tomatoes were started from seed. I experienced a lot of problems with organic container gardening (noted in posts labeled "bugs"). I started all my plants as seeds, but eventually some died and instead of starting again I bought starts for my bell pepper and eggplant (Rosa Bianca) as seen here.
